There was a big turnout for the first junior coaching of the 2016 season

About 80 children turned up for the first junior coaching of the 2016 season at Bredon Cricket Club.

The session coincided with a chilly evening and a bank holiday weekend, but did not put off families eager to get involved with the game.

We meet again next Friday at 6.15pm, and hope to see everyone there again.

There are more details on our FAQ page, and you can download a registration form here.

They’re back! Those fabulous summer evenings when your children get to learn one of the world’s greatest sports, while you look on… perhaps with a refreshing drink in your hand.

Junior coaching begins at Bredon Cricket Club (find us here) on Friday (April 29) at 6.15pm.

Children are taught basic skills such as catching, throwing, bowling and batting in a friendly, supportive environment. They learn in groups of not more than 20 based on age and ability.

Parents can enjoy a relaxing drink from our clubhouse bar and unwind after a hard week in one of the most beautiful spots in Bredon.

Our junior cricket FAQs page has lots more information, and you can download a registration form and complete it all ready to hand in at the club on Friday.

What a night! This evening’s cheese and wine evening was a fabulous curtain-raiser for the season at Bredon Cricket Club.

It was a chance for old friends to meet up again, and for people new to the club to find out what we are all about.

There was quite a turnout, a delicious buffet and a convivial atmosphere.

Best of all, there was a wide range of ages represented, which is always a sign of a venue that is doing something right!

There is always a warm welcome in our clubhouse. Why not call in to watch some cricket and enjoy a drink?

Our near-neighbours Dumbleton win County Indoor Final 2016

Winners: Dumbleton claim the 2016 County Indoor Final’s Granger Trophy

They pipped us to the post in the 2016 Evesham Indoor League… and now they’ve gone on to win the County Indoor Final.

Our local rivals Dumbleton (128-4) beat Hagley (128-4) on the final ball to win the Granger Trophy at RGS Worcester.

Both sides played excellent cricket, and they were separated only by the narrowest of margins.

Well done, Dumbleton. And we mean that, we really do.
