New to Bredon Cricket Club for 2020 is Dynamos Cricket, which is backed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The new six-week coaching programme provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket, and is the perfect introduction for all 8 to 11-year-olds new to the sport.

Complementing junior cricket, Dynamos provides children with a more social offer. It focuses on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them in an exciting game of countdown cricket.

We know how important it is to look like the heroes of the game, so every child who registers will receive their very own Dynamos Cricket New Balance T-shirt, personalised with their name and number.

The programme:

  • Children will use soft balls and light wooden bats
  • Minimum of six 60-90 minute sessions
  • Introduction to game play through a countdown cricket match
  • New Balance personalised T-shirt with name and number
  • Valuable time with your kids – mums and dads are encouraged to take part too
  • Complementary digital app experience
  • Safe and fully accredited

At the end of April the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is launching a digital app experience to complement the Dynamos Cricket programme.

Packed with exclusive cricket content, quizzes and activities to practise at home and with friends, the app will allow your child to track their Dynamos Cricket journey as they progress, unlocking new content and skills challenges as they go.

Dynamos is aimed at complementing junior cricket, so children can do both if they wish! Find out more about junior cricket formats here.

Dynamos 2020 Cricket at Bredon costs £40 for a six-week programme. Register here.

For eight-year-olds who are totally new to the sport, or nervous about joining a Dynamos session, our All Stars Cricket may be more suitable.

All Stars Cricket is the perfect introduction for five to eight-year-olds, and teaches children the fundamental skills needed for cricket including catching, throwing and batting.

All Stars children are provided with a full kit bag of bat, ball, cap, personalised T-shirt and rucksack. Visit the ECB’s All Stars Cricket section for more details.

We regret to announce the death of club stalwart Vic Fenney

Bredon Cricket Club is sad to report the sad loss of long-time supporter Vic Fenney.

Vic had been involved with the club for more than 35 years, and could often be found at our Hill Close ground watching his sons Ian and Clive and grandchildren Tim, Rachel and Dom.

The funeral will take place at Fladbury crematorium on Monday, March 9, at 2pm.

Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
