It’s spring… and that means outside nets start again

Spring is in the air! And that means outside nets start soon at Bredon Cricket Club.

Practice sessions are open for players aged 16 and over, and are held between 6pm and 8pm every Thursday.

The first of the 2016 season is on Thursday, April 7.

The clubhouse bar, now under the management of Will Rollett, will be open for every nets session.

Come along and get yourself ready for the new season.

Indoor nets are still running at Prince Henry’s High School, Evesham. Details here.

Fixtures for our junior sides, who play in the Cotswold Hills League junior section, are out (though they are still subject to amendment):

Junior cricket coaching gets under way at our Hill Close ground on Friday, April 29, and we will be posting more details soon about how your child can get involved.

In the meantime, we are looking for parents who would like to help our coaches with the children, particularly the younger ones aged five to 10.

No experience is necessary, and we will sort out any necessary DBS checks (formerly CTB).

Members of our teams have enjoyed the first indoor nets of the pre-season.

Ian Fenney took these pictures of the lads in action (and gearing themselves up for action!).

The session was at Prince Henry’s High School, Evesham.

Practice is on Wednesday evenings throughout this month and March, beginning at 9pm.

A session costs just £2, and there is a professional coach on hand to provide tips and feedback.

Ian Fenny is the organiser. Contact him using the form below.

Our cricket ground and the rugby pitches that adjoin it are private property and are for people, not dogs.

We would be grateful if owners would please walk their pets elsewhere.
