Eighties and Nineties school disco night at Bredon Cricket Club

Turn back time to those glory days of the Eighties and Nineties at Bredon Cricket Club!

We’ll be playing some of the biggest hits of the two decades at our school disco retro night on Saturday, July 23.

But it won’t be just the music from the past you’ll be enjoying… we’ll be selling selected drinks at 90s prices too (though we can’t guarantee to have Hooch, Lambrini, or Skol lager in stock).

Why not really let your hair down and come in fancy dress? The theme is 1980s and 1990s school disco. There’ll be a prize for the best male and female outfits.

Bredon Cricket Club has an idyllic rural setting at the foot of Bredon Hill, and is just four-and-a-half miles from Tewkesbury and seven miles from Pershore.

On a warm night in July it’s the perfect place to remember those  uh, oh summer nights!

Tickets cost £5 on the door, and the bar opens at 7pm.

Here’s what B&L had to say about us:

… and the following day

Take a look at our beautifully restored floor!

parquet flooring
Isn’t it lovely? We’re so proud of our revamped parquet floor

Now this may seem like an ordinary floor to you, but we are enormously proud of it!

The parquet was rescued from an old church hall several years ago and fitted in our Hill Close clubhouse.

But it had taken a bit of a battering and was looking worse for wear.

A top-notch restoration has it looking magnificent again, as this picture shows.

It is just another step in a programme to dramatically improve the clubhouse.

Decorating is under way, a new kitchen is coming, and there are even grander things in the pipeline.

For now, though, we’re all just enjoying staring at the floor. Who says cricket folk are boring?
